SUNIL RASTOGI: Serial rapist who targeted schoolgirls, raped 500 minor girls, arrested in Delhi

Sunil Rastogi, who was arrested in Delhi, is a serial rapist.

He raped hundreds of minor girls--yes you read it right, hundreds in Delhi, over the years.

Huffington Post writes that Rastogi raped nearly 500 minors including mostly schoolgirls.

"The rapist nearly targeted five hundred children over the last 13 years, not only in Delhi but also in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand".

The man had a unique modus operandi. He would move around schools and prey on minor girls, posing as their father's friend who had brought gift or new clothes for them.

Hindustan Times reports that Rastogi would tell the victim he was a friend of her father’s who had sent clothes and snacks. For every victim, he would stitch a new set of clothes and wrap a new parcel.

“He would tell the child he had more presents for her and would take her with him and sexually assault her,” a police source said. The paedophile raped girls as young as 7-13 year old after taking them to isolated spots.

"The accused told police that he used to target minor girls. Whenever he would find any minor girl going to home from school, he used to mislead her on the pretext that her father had sent some clothes or some other articles to give her and take her to an isolated place", Huff Po quotes a Delhi police official.

Police scanned the CCTV footage of the area where Rastogi had raped the girls. Police were able to identify him but his face was not clearly visible, writes HT.

They spoke to the vendors and some of victims and got a sketch made. They went door to door with the sketch. On Saturday, police were alerted about Rastogi’s presence in the area.

A raid led to his arrest. Rastogi can’t believe his 13-year-run is over. He told police he was certain they would never get him, the paper reports.

RAVINDER KUMAR: Serial rapist who raped, murdered over 35 children in Delhi

If there is a man who really deserves to be called a monster, it is Ravinder Kumar.

Ravindra Kumar, 24, is accused of raping and killing dozens of children in Delhi, India's national capital. 

This serial rapist who murdered kids, had been initially caught and was let off. 

Emboldened, he went on a spree of rape-murders across Delhi. 

A top police official said that he was deeply shaken after he recorded Ravinder Kumar's confession that he had killed so many children in Delhi.

All these crimes were committed between 2008-2009 and 2015. Kumar lured children with sweets and candies. He would take them to isolated spots and would sexually assault them.



Mostly, he targeted children in the age group of 4-6 years, as they couldn't resist much. He said that kids didn't resist and hence he targeted them. He also raped after 

In July 2015, he was arrested for the rape and murder of a six-year-old in Begumpur in Delhi. The girl went missing and an FIR was registered. Later, he body was found from an under-construction building. 

Here, police found a driving licence and some documents (of his brother) apart from crucial evidence which helped police in tracking the killer. During interrogation, it was found that he was involved in similar acts before. 

Initially, the police found that he was involved in half-a-dozen rape-murders in Delhi. Many other cases are from NCR, the others in Badaun, Aligarh, outer Delhi and other places. Many cases never reached the police.

Committed crimes after getting drunk

Kumar, who acted alone, said that when he was drunk, he would commit sexual assaults with minors. The accused showed no remorse, said police sources. The chilling crimes have shocked the police officials too. 

They said that Ravinder Kumar wasn't perturbed in custody and didn't look to be having any compunction. The monster man, who belongs to Uttar Pradesh (UP) and had settled in Delhi, later killed them.

Was arrested earlier but was let off

He apparently also suffered from necrophilia and even after murder, committed sexual act with the bodies of minors.

In 2009, he had sodomised a boy and had strangled him. Though arrested, he was later let off due to lack of evidence.

Kumar's first crime in Delhi was when he was just a teenager. He had raped and murdered the minor daughter of a worker at Delhi Metro construction site. Later, he dumped body but was never arrested for this crime. 

He has also committed rapes and murders in Noida, Aligarh and other places. In most of the cases, he killed the kids but in some cases he let them off, if they promised not to reveal anything about the incident to anyone. 

Kumar's revelation led to the police surmising that he was involved in more than 35 rape-murders. The figure could be even more than 40-45. The trial is on. The monster remains in judicial custody in the jail.

MH SAWANT: IAS officer who turned out to be serial rapist arrested in Pune

An officer of the elite Indian Administrative Service (IAS) was not just a paedophile but had sexually exploited children for years.

MH Sawant is the man who was arrested for raping girls as small as 8 and 10 year old.

Sawant is 58 years old. He lived in Pune (Maharashtra). Now he has been arrested and is in jail. Sawant's list of crimes is shocking.

The man who was posted as director general (DG) of the Maharashtra State Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER), lived in Shivaji Nagar locality in the City. No one had an idea that he was involved in such horrible acts.

Targeted girls below the age of 10

Sawant's full name is Maruti H Sawant. He had just 1-1/2 year before he was scheduled for retirement.He mostly targeted girls who were below the age of 10. Sawant lured them by offering them toffees, chocolates and other sweets.

It was found that schoolchildren who played in the parking lot of the housing society were targeted by him. Investigation revealed that he would later threaten to kill the children if they refused to succumb to his sexual advances.

As he was old enough to the kids' grandfather, no one suspected that beneath the personality of an educated IAS officer, there was a monster who preyed on schoolgirls and sexually assaulted them for years.

During preliminary inquiry it was found that Sawant took the children to his house too. The perverted IAS officer used to show them sexually explicit content and pornographic movies' clips on his computer.

Abusing a girl since she was in IVth

The horrific crimes came to light when as many as four girls of the nearby school informed their counsellor who turned approached the authorities.

The matter subsequently reached the police. The investigation was initiated and the officer was caught.

During preliminary investigation it was found that Sawant had been sexually abusing a minor girl for years.

She was in fourth standard when he raped her and later on kept exploiting her for years. The girl is now 13.

Maruti Sawant has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO) apart from rape, molestation and other provision of the IPC. He has also been charged under IT Act.

This horrific story tells how education, post or status can't make someone a better person as criminal tendencies can exist in a highly educated person and a person living on the street may have the best moral character.
