RAVINDER KUMAR: Serial rapist who raped, murdered over 35 children in Delhi

If there is a man who really deserves to be called a monster, it is Ravinder Kumar.

Ravindra Kumar, 24, is accused of raping and killing dozens of children in Delhi, India's national capital. 

This serial rapist who murdered kids, had been initially caught and was let off. 

Emboldened, he went on a spree of rape-murders across Delhi. 

A top police official said that he was deeply shaken after he recorded Ravinder Kumar's confession that he had killed so many children in Delhi.

All these crimes were committed between 2008-2009 and 2015. Kumar lured children with sweets and candies. He would take them to isolated spots and would sexually assault them.



Mostly, he targeted children in the age group of 4-6 years, as they couldn't resist much. He said that kids didn't resist and hence he targeted them. He also raped after 

In July 2015, he was arrested for the rape and murder of a six-year-old in Begumpur in Delhi. The girl went missing and an FIR was registered. Later, he body was found from an under-construction building. 

Here, police found a driving licence and some documents (of his brother) apart from crucial evidence which helped police in tracking the killer. During interrogation, it was found that he was involved in similar acts before. 

Initially, the police found that he was involved in half-a-dozen rape-murders in Delhi. Many other cases are from NCR, the others in Badaun, Aligarh, outer Delhi and other places. Many cases never reached the police.

Committed crimes after getting drunk

Kumar, who acted alone, said that when he was drunk, he would commit sexual assaults with minors. The accused showed no remorse, said police sources. The chilling crimes have shocked the police officials too. 

They said that Ravinder Kumar wasn't perturbed in custody and didn't look to be having any compunction. The monster man, who belongs to Uttar Pradesh (UP) and had settled in Delhi, later killed them.

Was arrested earlier but was let off

He apparently also suffered from necrophilia and even after murder, committed sexual act with the bodies of minors.

In 2009, he had sodomised a boy and had strangled him. Though arrested, he was later let off due to lack of evidence.

Kumar's first crime in Delhi was when he was just a teenager. He had raped and murdered the minor daughter of a worker at Delhi Metro construction site. Later, he dumped body but was never arrested for this crime. 

He has also committed rapes and murders in Noida, Aligarh and other places. In most of the cases, he killed the kids but in some cases he let them off, if they promised not to reveal anything about the incident to anyone. 

Kumar's revelation led to the police surmising that he was involved in more than 35 rape-murders. The figure could be even more than 40-45. The trial is on. The monster remains in judicial custody in the jail.

MOHAN KUMAR: Former school principal turned serial killer, who murdered 20 women

Mohan Kumar, 50, doesn't look a hardcore criminal but behind this ordinary face lurks a dreaded serial killer who was behind 20 brutal murders in Karnataka.

Kumar who was also known as Ananda had a signature style of committing these murders. He lured the women with false promise of marriage and then killed them using poison. 

He also raped and robbed the women before killing them. Such was his audacity that he killed women and girls in toilets, hotel rooms, lodges in Mangalore and nearby region. 

For years the mystery behind the series of murders remained unresolved. Finally, he was caught. Now the court has held him guilty and convicted him.

The middle-aged man also sexually abused his victims. The impostor in many cases persuaded the girls to have sexual relation with him. The victims thought that he was going to marry them and hence consented.

Then, he would give poisonous pill by telling them that it was 'contraceptive' to avoid pregnancy. The victim would believe and lose life in process. For years, he managed to escape from the clutches of the law. 

However it was in October 2009, that he was finally arrested for the murders of girls in Bangalore, Mysore, Hassan and Madikeri. What was his modus operandi? The criminal was so calculative that he identified his prey. He lured the young women by promising them either a job or marriage without dowry. 

When the victim began trusting him, he would take her along to a hotel or lodge and commit the crime. In 2009, a woman, Anita, went missing. The local right-wing groups had called it Love Jihad and led a movement on her death.

But it was later found that Mohan Kumar was behind her murder too. The police got a clue because her cell phone was used by him to contact another woman, who was also murdered in the same year. The dots were connected and that's how police went on the killer's trail. 

In many cases, he killed the girl when she believed that the marriage would be solemnised in a few hours. Dressed in their best, the girl would come and meet him, so that he would take her to the temple for the wedding ceremony.

But he instead sexually exploited and robbed the girl, and killed her. Often, he took the girl to a desolate place near a public toilet or a bus stand, and give her the tablet. When she died, he would leave the spot and walk away.

Unimaginable it may seem but Mohan Kumar used CYANIDE to kill the victims. The list of the victims is long. 

Anitha, Lilavathi, Sunanda, and many other girls were cheated and then murdered by him. He robbed the victim after murder and stole their belongings including the jewellery.

Mohan Kumar targeted women in the age group 18-35. He used fake names to stay in hotels but when the police finally traced him, his handwriting and other records at the hotels, also matched.

Kumar is now convicted in separate cases and lodged in jail. The cold-blooded criminal is being tried in 17 cases.

It is suspected that he has killed many more women. Kumar was principal at a school but after he was first arrested, he was dismissed.

However, he had managed to convince police that he was not involved in a crime in 2005. Later, he was arrested in 2009. In three cases, Mohan Kumar alias Anand Kulal has already been convicted. He has been given death penalty by hanging.

Monsters. Which other word  you will use for them. The five-year-old minor girl was abducted and raped in a house in Gandhinagar in Delhi. Even candles and a bottle was inserted in her private parts!!!

Such horrible acts with an innocent baby took place in national capital and outraged India. For days, there was fear that the girl may not survive. Luckily, she survived. One of the accused, Manoj Kumar Shah, had escaped to his hometown in Chitkauna in Muzaffarpur district (Bihar).

The main accused Manoj had even acted as if he was helping the family in tracing the 'missing' girl, though he had abducted her. Manoj was arrested and brought to Delhi by air. He is now in jail and is facing trial. His other co-accused Pradeep Ram, 19, has also been arrested. 

They had repeatedly raped the child. In fact, there were such injuries inflicted on the girl that the doctors were left in a state of shock. The insertions of these foreign objects had caused infection and had worsened her condition. 

She was bleeding heavily and was unconscious when she was found in the locked flat. The perverts had committed unbelievable acts. The girl endured the torture for two days in the house where she had been kept confined. They had tried to kill her, first one of them tried to strangulate but failed as he was drunk.

Then, another tried to slit her throat with razor. The criminals had watched pornographic movies on cell phones before committing the crime. This was revealed after the suspects were caught after a major nationwide hunt. 

This horrible crime took place on April 15, 2013. Nearly 40 hrs after she was abducted, the girl was 'recovered' from the same building where she lived with her parents. Her family members had earlier been snubbed by police.

A policeman had even given Rs 2,000 to the family and asked them to keep mum. But as the incident hit headlines, media screamed and people took to streets. 

The search began for the monsters. Manoj lived in the same building on rent. He had been missing. But was traced and caught. 

As the names of victims and their families are not revealed to protect the identities, the media called the child 'Gudia' or a 'Doll'. 

The case hit the conscience of the nation after the earlier Delhi gangrape case in which Ram Singh was the main accused other than four others. 

Manoj whose surname is also spelt as 'Sah' had raped his 'wife' also before their marriage. It was after the rape, that the girl was married to her in his hometown. The other accused Pradeep worked in a garment factory. He hails from Sheikhpura in Bihar.

It is learnt that Pradeep Ram and Manoj Sah had escaped together from Delhi. Pradeep went to Sheikhpura and then reached his uncle's residence in Lakhisarai from where he was arrested. Both these persons are a blot on human race. We expect the courts to hand over the sternest possible punishment to them.
